Welcome to my personal website.
These last few months have been very exciting for the Georgia Tech molecular beam lab.
Professor Walt de Heer together with Dr. Lei Ma and physics students are discovering new phenomena!
Last year we published a report in Physical Review Letters with the first observation of multiferroism in small particles:

Multiferroic Rhodium Clusters

This year (2015) we published a large study of 35 atomic polarizabilities. This is 1/3 of the natural elements!

Atomic polarizabilities of 35 metallic elements

Now, we are working on two breakthroughs. One has to do with unexpected properties of gold and the other with a big piece of the puzzle of ferromagnetism.
